Located on a 500 sq.yd corner plot in Naval Anchorage, Terralith House is conceived as an introverted residence organized around a central courtyard. The project comprises a basement, ground, and first floor, responding to its dual orientation; a west-facing frontage along the main road and a longer north-facing edge along the street. The architecture adopts a restrained material palette of washed terrazzo surfaces and exposed brick screens, allowing local materials to shape both texture and climatic performance. Rather than addressing the street directly, the house turns inward, where light, landscape, and daily life unfold around the courtyard at its center. The resulting composition balances solidity and permeability, where carefully placed openings, brick screens, and shaded terraces mediate light, privacy, and environmental comfort.
